POWERFUL SENIOR KARATE
"Powerful Senior Karate", is a project designed to offer as a contribution to the community of people of retirement age, based on the gradual implementation of a simple training program, in which Karate-Do techniques will be introduced little by little to older adults previously evaluated and authorized by a health expert. Its purpose is to use karate-Do as a means of psychomotor rehabilitation to delay aging and improve their quality of life. The application of this program will begin with the classification of the assistants according to their physical and motor condition at the time of beginning the training to divide them into groups as homogeneous as possible and indicate a training routine appropriate to their possibilities so that they can reach real goals so that significant physical and psychological improvements are observed. Once the groups are formed and their members evaluated, a training routine is designed that will vary depending on the progress of the students. It is possible that some people have faster progress than the rest of the group; in that case, if the progress is very significant and it differentiates you a lot from your group, you will move to a higher level of training. Even though each student will progress at a different pace, little by little everyone will improve their psychomotor skills and they will achieve karate skills, which will also lead to other achievements such as promotion of grade.
