The Disciplinary Committee shall be constituted as a collegiate body whose powers and attributions are set forth in these presents, and bears the permanent task of assess, process and decide as well as to issue opinions and recommendations, on all cases arising from irregular conduct, acts unbecoming an ISF member, breach of honor and good behavior, and / or infringement of this bylaws and others of mandatory compliance as sanctioned by ISF, on the part of any member, be it an instructor, an officer or an individual student.

17.1. The Disciplinary Committee is comprised by nine (9) affiliates, as follows:

17.1.a.- A Board of Directors, integrated by three (3) officers elected from within the membership of the Disciplinary Committee, whose country of origin and residence shall be different among the three;

17.1.b.- Two (2) representatives from the Caribbean countries, that shall represent the ascribed associations and members of all such countries as a whole;

17.1.c.-  Two (2) special representatives, from each of the following states of the United States of America: i.- New York, and ii.- Florida.

17.1.d.- Two (2) advanced black belt members, 5th Dan or higher on rank as required by section 17.2., to be chosen by the Board of Directors from among members from associations and countries that do not already have representatives among the Disciplinary Committee.

  17.2. The requirements to become a member of the Disciplinary Committee, are the following:

  • Being 41 years of age or older.

  • Holding an ISF recognized Black belt with a minimum rank of 5th Dan.

  • Being an active member of the Board of Directors of one of the member countries’ Associations.

  • Having being appointed by the Director of the Association of the candidate’s country of residence, as approved under these presents with the Directors of ISF.

Having displayed and held throughout his or her career, a code of honorable conduct, within the definition of good behavior as established in these presents.
